Privacy policy

Last updated: [DATE]

thefilosphere is a Chrome extension made by Ayan Khan (“we”). This page explains what the extension does with your information.

The short version

What the extension accesses

What is stored, and where

Your settings, your recent batches and the progress of an unfinished upload are stored in your browser’s extension storage on your computer. Removing the extension deletes them.

Use of Google user data

thefilosphere’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the features you see in the extension. It is not transferred to us or to anyone else, and no person reads it.

Payments and licenses

Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, which collects your email and payment details under its own privacy policy. To activate a license, the extension sends your license key to Dodo Payments. We receive your email and order details so we can provide support and refunds.

If you ask us to email you the install link

The website has a form that emails you a link to open on your laptop. The address you enter is used to send that one email and reaches our inbox, so we can see that someone asked. We do not add it to a mailing list. The email is sent through Resend.

Free runs

The extension counts how many runs you have used so the free allowance works. [HOW THE COUNT IS STORED: to be completed when the free allowance is built.]

Removing access

You can remove the extension’s access at any time in your Google account under Security, “Third-party apps and services”.
